Advanced Air Seminar: Foundry Process Ventilation
Join us at our next chapter meeting for an interactive Advanced Air Seminar with Greg Kramer covering Foundry Process Ventilation. Using an air blower, Greg will demonstrate how changes to an air handling system can either improve or adversely impact the system.
This seminar covers ventilation design guidelines. If you are not correctly balancing your dust collection system; you might be losing valuable raw materials, causing premature wearing of the ductwork, or alternately allowing material to accumulate in the ductwork causing a potentially dangerous collapse situation.
Greg Kramer is a licensed professional engineer with 18 years of experience in the Foundry industry. His technical expertise include foundry processes and equipment, industrial ventilation design and troubleshooting, and Environmental health and safety compliance and best practices. Greg started his career working at ME Global’s iron and steel foundries providing process, ventilation and EHS engineering support. Later, he served as the EHS technical director at AFS, and then as an independent consultant focusing on foundry industrial ventilation engineering. He is now the regional industrial sales director for Badger Mining. Throughout his career, he participated and contributed to the AFS EHS Division and its committees and worked with and learned from the most experienced people in the field.
