Speaker: Stephanie Salmon, Vice President Government Affairs, American Foundry Society

April 7th at Joseph’s Grill in St. Paul

AFS TC Chapter welcomes Stephanie Salmon, AFS Washington Representative, to our next chapter meeting. Stephanie serves as Vice President of Government Affairs for the American Foundry Society. In this role, she represents the metalcasting industry interests before Congress, the Administration, and regulatory bodies related to international trade, infrastructure, workplace health and safety, taxation, defense, supply chain, healthcare, workforce, and energy. In addition, she develops major policy initiatives, regulatory comments, testimony, action alerts, updates, and educational pieces on key issues affecting metalcasters. She delivers presentations to metalcasting organizations nationwide.

She also serves as the liaison and representative to AFS’ Government Affairs Committee and the Safety and Health Committee and is a member of Women in Metalcasting. She successfully manages Washington conferences and congressional plant tours.

Stephanie has over twenty-five years of experience in the government and regulatory affairs arena and has managed several manufacturing trade association clients. Please join us for an informative discussion.

About the Meeting:

Stephanie will provide review of the latest trade policy developments and next wave of tariffs coming out of Washington that could impact U.S. metalcasters and their suppliers, as well as the status of the review to determine the futures of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). In addition, she will discuss the impact of the first year of the Trump Administration on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) enforcement, rulemaking, and agency priorities, while also looking ahead to what to expect in 2026.
