 helle Benson to the Green Mill-Ramada Inn in Plymouth\, Minnesota on Tuesd
 ay\, November 12th\, 2019\, beginning with a social hour at 5:00pm. Senato
 r Benson will address "The State of the Industry: Metalcasting in Minnesot
 a." It is also the Annual Scholarship Night\, when the AFS Twin Cities Cha
 pter honors FEF and UW-Stout scholarship recipients.\n\nAbout the Speaker.
 .. Senator Michelle Benson is serving her third term in the Minnesota Sena
 te. She represents Senate District 31\, which includes Anoka\, Isanti\, an
 d Sherburne counties. Senator Benson currently serves as a Deputy Majority
  Leader and as Chair of the Health and Human Services Finance and Policy C
 ommittee. She has presented at state and national conferences: The Council
  on State Governments and the US of Care national events.Senator Benson wa
 s raised on a farm in the western Minnesota community of Murdock and gradu
 ated with a B.A. in chemistry from St. Catherine University in Saint Paul.
  She later attended the University of St. Thomas\, where she earned her M.
 B.A. Senator Benson is a  Certified Public Accountant (inactive license) 
 and has worked as an auditor and consultant at Deloitte\, as well as the E
 xecutive Director at the Upper Midwest Security Alliance.Senator Benson se
 rves as a board member\, treasurer\, secretary\, and administrator for The
  Way of the Shepherd Montessori School. She is a member of the North Metro
  Chamber of Commerce\, and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accou
 ntants. She resides in Ham Lake with her husband Craig\, and they are pare
 nts to three children.\n\nAbout the Topic... “The State of the Industry:
  Metalcasting in Minnesota” will address the current state of the metalc
 asting industry\, both nationally and locally. Senator Benson will examine
  the key issues in economics and politics that affect foundries\, the supp
 ly chain\, and the production of castings. She will also review activities
