DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nThe AFS Twin Cities Chapter and the MN Chapter of ASM I
 nternational will host a virtual meeting on Tuesday\, January 12th at 5:00
  p.m. The focus of this presentation will be on “Introduction to Fractur
 e Analysis\,” evaluating macro- and microscopic features of fractured co
 mponents to aid in determining the cause of failure. Characteristic fractu
 re features for a variety of materials and loading conditions will be exam
 ined. Common analytical methods and techniques to facilitate this type of 
 investigation will also be discussed.\n\nAbout the Speaker...Neal graduate
 d with a bachelors degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Iowa S
 tate University in 2011 and became a licensed professional materials engin
 eer in 2016. He has been consulting on materials-related problems and cond
 ucting materials testing and forensic investigations with Materials Evalua
 tion and Engineering\, Inc. for 8+ years. He provides expertise for failur
 e analyses–particularly those involving fracture characterization–for 
 clients from a wide range of industries including manufacturers of medical
  devices\, automotive equipment\, and industrial machinery.\n\nRegister be
