 , AFS TC Chapter sponsored a presentation by Brian Bell of Dorsey &amp\; W
 hitney discussing recent enforcement actions by the Minnesota Pollution Co
 ntrol Agency (MPCA) and regulatory tools available to MPCA for enforcing
  environmental regulations and permit conditions.\n\nBrian highlighted re
 cent changes to Minnesota laws granting MPCA additional power to shutdown 
 facilities it believes are violating environmental laws. Brian assists cli
 ents in obtaining environmental and operating permits for controversial in
 dustrial\, energy\, and natural resources projects. As part of this work\,
  Brian advocates for companies before local\, state\, and federal regulato
 ry bodies and on judicial review. Brian also represents clients in defendi
 ng against agency enforcement actions.\n\nBrian has litigated cases in dis
 trict and appellate courts throughout the country\, including in Minnesota
 \, Wisconsin\, and Montana. Brian also represents clients conducting envir
 onmental\ndue diligence in mergers and acquisitions\, and real estate tran
