AFS Twin Cities Chapter will host Tony Kwilas, President, T.K. & Associates, on Wednesday, October 9th beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Joseph’s Grill in St. Paul, MN for a presentation titled “Legislative Actions and Impacts to Minnesota’s Economy”. About the Presentation: Tony’s presentation will cover noteworthy items from the last 2 years of environmental initiatives including environmental justice areas, cumulative impacts, odor management, air toxic regulations and compliance protocols, and MPCA emergency powers. About the Speaker: Tony Kwilas, President, T.K. & Associates, is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas. B.A. in Political Science/History. He served as Assistant Secretary of the Senate 1986-1988 and former Committee Administrator for the Senate Environment and Natural Resources Committee 1988-1995. Mr. Kwilas then founded T. K. & Associates in 1995, a public affairs and government relations firm that specializes in environment and natural resources and business issues. Kwilas also served as the Director of Environment and Natural Resources at the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce. He has also held the position of Regional Manager of northern Minnesota for the Chamber, where he traveled exclusively throughout northern Minnesota listening to the concerns of legislators, businesses, and citizens. T.K. & Associates has represented a vast array of businesses before the Legislature and state agencies. Clients have included the Minnesota Vikings, Hospitality Minnesota, Sappi Paper Company, Investor-owned utilities, Altria, Consumer Electronics Association and other environment and natural resource and business interests at the State Capitol. Kwilas is a former past president of the Minnesota Government Relations Council (MGRC), Capitol Chapter of Ducks Unlimited and is a member of numerous other Boards and Associations.
